Services: electronic files | environmental | hazardous waste | OSHA MPCA | safety training
Being in compliance was important to the owners and managers of a company with six locations. Each facility was small, so the managers at each location were trying to comply with all the requirements—injury reporting, OSHA 300 logs and environmental reporting. To make it more confusing, their facilities were in three different Twin Cities counties, each with slightly different reporting requirements. They really just wanted to run their business and not try to sort through and remember all of the requirements. So, they called CHESS after getting a referral from other CHESS clients. We made the reporting easy for them:
- Each January, we visited each shop to complete the hazardous waste reporting and the OSHA 300A summaries.
- A few months later, we scheduled visits to do the annual Right to Know training and respirator fit testing.
- Under air emissions rules CHESS helped the MPCA develop, they qualified as exempt from having air permits. We helped them cancel those permits.
- We’ve set up an easy record keeping system, the same in each location.
The managers don’t need to worry about remembering to handle these things or if they did it right, because we take care of it.
