Our maintenance clients (long-term contracts) don’t need to ask for the programs they need, because we identify and then fill those needs. But companies that don’t have safety programs are sometimes caught flatfooted. We help those companies, too.
Two weeks before a fireproofing job was to start, the fireproofing company learned that the general contractor required proof that their employees had received Right to Know/Hazard Communication training and that they were required to have a written Right to Know/HazCom program. The GC wouldn’t allow them onsite until they could show compliance. That’s not a new requirement, but no one had asked for proof before now.
The company contacted CHESS with less than two weeks before the start of their job. Within a week and a half, CHESS was able to provide them with a customized training guide, addressing the specific hazards of their job, so they could use it to train employees. CHESS also provided the written Right to Know/Hazard Communication program – again, specific to their operations. Thanks to CHESS’s prompt help, they were able to start the job on time.
